Candidates will be expected to understand the applications, database, infrastructure processes, hardware and communications mechanisms used in financial systems. Individuals must be self-starting and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer oriented and able to co-ordinate between disparate groups. Intercultural adaptability is also required. Specific Responsibilities. ·Develop a broad knowledge and understanding of technology and business issues in order to identify and prioritise issues and their solution and identify specifications to improve the supportability of products ·Identify new uses for existing systems that will increase business profitability·Proactively seek out and repair system inconsistencies Mandatory ESSENTIAL INVESTMENT BANKING ·Possess strong communication, leadership and organisation skills·Exhibit mid level expertise with the Unix operating system ·Exhibit mid level expertise with the NT operating system ·Mid level expertise using Structured Query Language (SQL) to maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot problems or perceived problems with Sybase databases ·Familiarity with Unix shell scriptingBasic understanding of Web technologiesThe candidate should possess the following qualities and abilitiesMSB Technology (a division of MSB International PLC) is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
